"Ode to the Children"

Remember, debt is a social ill, not an inheritance

"YOU  MUST  PLAN  FOR  LIFE"
Budgetsurgery understands that every member of the household has to have knowledge of the family economic status and share responsibility in the planning of the finances in order for total debt free management.

Children and young adults also need to understand that it is the entire families’ responsibility for the household economy to become debt free and they must do their part.

It takes self-discipline and persistence to manage your money better and make it go further.

AVOIDING  THE  EARN  AND  SPEND GOING NOWHERE CIRCLE OF LIFE!

Budgetsurgery sees many people as ones who are in a rut.  They work and earn and spend their whole lives, but they never seem to get ahead. Some people have little to show for a life savings because they spend their money as fast as it comes in.  They are failing not as workers and earners, but as money managers and consumers.

Americans are the most misguided people who have ever lived on the earth with advertisement. Every day from morning until night, we are bombarded with messages telling us to spend money, even money we do not have, with credit cards.  All around us, our friends and neighbors are obeying the messages.  Advertising is vital to the nation’s economic welfare, but our economic health as individuals often depends on resisting the ads and making sure we buy only those things we really want and need.

When you are young, it is especially difficult not to follow the crowd and give in to the pressure buy now and pay later.  It takes self-discipline to resist the temptation of immediate gratification.  It takes an independent spirit to see through the advertising images of the good like the celebrity testimonials on TV, radio and billboards.  You have to know who you are and what you want out of life.  You have to have your eye on the future.  You have to believe in your ability to plan and manage your life.
